When making it, you can of course initially choose between mild, normal and strong coffee at the touch of a button (the ground quantity is adjusted here, between 7 and 11 g coffee per cup). The grind size should be set within the medium range. Then try an espresso or coffee. If the espresso is too strong or too weak for you, alter the ground quantity accordingly (this means e.g. set to normal or mild if it is too strong, or select more coffee grounds i.e. normal or strong if it is too weak). Once you have made this adjustment, fine tuning can be achieved with the grind size. (Caution: adjust the grind size only when the grinder is running.) Now, for a more intense flavour, e.g. for an espresso, gradually reduce the grind size or set it coarser for milder coffee – until you achieve the optimum result for your taste.
